Telkomsel unveils G20 Connect application

Telkomsel has ensured that G20 Connect can be a trusted and up-to-date information center for the 2022 G20 due to collaboration from various parties, specifically the government as the main source for every presented information

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Cellular operator Telkomsel, a subsidiary of state-owned enterprise Telkom Group, has unveiled the G20 Connect application to support Indonesia’s G20 Presidency.

Telkomsel has designed the G20 Connect application as an information center on the Indonesian G20 Presidency’s activities. The application can be accessed by delegates and the general public, Telkomsel’s information technology director, Bharat Alva, informed in a statement issued on Wednesday.

G20 Connect is expected to provide convenience and comfort as well as a quality digital experience to all delegates in accessing information on G20 activities, he said.

The application is expected to showcase various development potentials and opportunities in Indonesia, he added.

“Telkomsel has ensured that G20 Connect can be a trusted and up-to-date information center for the 2022 G20 due to collaboration from various parties, specifically the government as the main source for every presented information,” he informed.

G20 Connect has “schedule,” “event details,” and “venue details” features that allow users to receive information on the time, location, and topics of G20 events.

Meanwhile, the “latest news” and “gallery” features allow users to obtain the latest information on the Indonesian G20 Presidency through picture and video articles.

G20 Connect can also publish press statements that can serve as a reference for journalists reporting on G20 activities.

The application will not provide information on the Indonesian G20 Presidency’s activities alone. Through the app, Telkomsel will also showcase Indonesia’s advantages in various fields, starting from technology to tourism.

In addition, users can explore the “tour destination” feature to see the country’s natural beauty, the uniqueness of its local cultures, and vacation activities in Indonesia.

The “content hosting” feature on G20 Connect features primary local applications, starting from e-commerce, and transportation, to health services.

The application can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

G20 is a multilateral cooperation group that comprises 19 countries and the European Union (EU). Indonesia, which is holding the presidency of the grouping this year, will host the G20 Summit in Bali this month.
