Air New Zealand has now resumed its non-stop services to the Indonesian island of Bali after a three year long hiatus.
With this week’s re-inauguration of the popular routes service to the holiday island, and New Zealand flight NZ64 will become one of three non-stop flights to Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport until the end of the seasonal service in October.
“Bali is one of our most popular routes, with more than 17,000 customers welcomed onboard our Air New Zealand aircraft bound for Denpasar in 2019 alone,” said Air New Zealand Chief Customer and Sales Officer Leanne Geraghty.
“It’s fantastic to be back flying non-stop services to Bali, a destination that suits every type of traveller – whether it’s customers keen to escape the cold to the tropical beaches, families keen for adventure or couples looking for a romantic, peaceful getaway.”
“We’re thrilled to be able to help connect New Zealanders to this holiday hot spot once again. This is the last of all our international and seasonal routes to get up and running again post Covid, so this certainly shows we are bouncing back.”
The airlines pre-bookings for the newly restored service have reportedly been strong, with Bali typically being a traditional holiday escape for New Zealanders.
July is a typically strong month for holidaymakers making for the tropical destination during the southern hemisphere winter season.
With June and April also showing firm demand, the New Zealand national flag carrier reportedly has 8500 travel bookings lined up presently.
The route will be operated by the carrier’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet.

New Zealand citizens do not require a visa to visit Bali for tourism purposes, as Indonesia has a visa waiver agreement in place with New Zealand.
However, visitors are required to have a passport with at least six months’ validity remaining and must present proof of onward travel, such as a return ticket or itinerary.
Bali is known for its diverse range of attractions, from beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters to ancient temples and stunning rice terraces.
The island is also famous for its unique culture, which includes traditional dance, music, and crafts. Popular tourist areas in Bali include Kuta, Seminyak, Ubud, and Jimbaran, each with their own unique charm and attractions.
