Sri Lanka continues to gain attention for its unique tourism offering and bringing the destination under the spotlight once again is its scenic beauty.
The island nation has been recognised as one of the 50 most ‘instagrammable’ places in the world in 2023 by bigseventravel.com. Ranked in the ninth position, Sri Lanka stands tall between Bali, Indonesia (eighth rank) and Sydney, Australia (10th rank).
The tropical country is described as a small island nation that may not be as well-known as some of the other destinations but definitely worth a visit.
“With over 13 million Instagram hashtags and 16.4 billion TikTok views, Sri Lanka offers a unique blend of cultural, natural and historical attractions, from the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya to the stunning beaches of the south coast,” said the travel website in its description of Sri Lanka.
