Kristina Ayanian has been officially announced as Miss Universe Armenia 2022 on Wednesday, November 2, and will now represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant.
The 25-year-old Bentley University graduate and a stock exchange company employee succeeded last year’s titleholder Nane Avetisyan and will now prepare to travel to New Orleans, Louisiana, USA this January for the prestigious international competition.
No stranger to pageantry, the talented classical pianist has been joining beauty competitions from a young age and won the titles Miss Boston Preteen, Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen and Miss Boston. Last year, she was named Miss Grand Armenia and went on to participate in Miss Grand International in Thailand.
Armenia, a former Soviet republic in the mountainous Caucasus region between Asia and Europe, debuted at Miss Universe in 2018 with Eliza Muradyan. The country has yet to win the coveted crown.
