E-VoA Officially Launched, Foreign Tourists and Businessman Easier to Enter to Indonesia


TRIBUNBATAM.id –� The electronic visa on arrival (e-VoA) application was officially launched on Thursday (11/10/2022). The inauguration ceremony of the application was held at the Courtyard Nusa Dua, Bali.�

The event was also attended by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menkomarves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej.�

According to a press release from the Directorate General of Immigration, the Acting Director General of Immigration, Widodo Ekatjahjana, believes that the e-VoA policy is a strategic policy.�

According to him, the ease and speed of immigration services can increase the enthusiasm of the world community to come to Indonesia, resulting in a positive impact on the country’s economy.�

Prior to its launch, the e-VoA application had a trial phase which took place on November 4-9, 2022.

The first foreigner to come to Indonesia using this application arrives at Soekarno-Hatta Airport tomorrow, Friday (11/04/2022).

According to Widodo, the trial of the e-VoA system and its payment method using a payment gateway went smoothly.�

With e-VoA, foreigners simply register a visa application through the website molina.imigration.go.id and make online payments using a credit or debit card with the Visa, Mastercard, or JCB logo.

After that, the e-VoA application will be verified and will be sent directly through the application if approved.�

The approved E-VoA can simply be downloaded and shown at the Immigration Checkpoint when entering Indonesian territory.�
