L’Oreal Korea has appointed Samuel du Retail as its new CEO for the region, has announced the South Korean subsidiary of the French cosmetics giant.
Samuel du Retail joined L’Oreal France in 1996 and has worked in a variety of fields, including management, operations, finance, and e-commerce. He worked as CFO for L’Oreal China in 2006, for L’Oreal Western Europe in 2012, and was then named Global CFO for L’Oreal Consumer Cosmetics a year later. Prior to receiving his most recent promotion, he worked for the company as group e-commerce General Manager from October 2020.
Samuel du Retail said he will focus on cooperative leadership to continue the innovative path of L’Oreal in the country as “Korea is leading the global beauty market with its K-beauty trends.”
