“I have an advocacy. It’s in sustainable tourism where I try to preserve culture because I believe culture is an important aspect in order for us to be who we really are.
“Growing up in Bali, I am surrounded with traditional culture. It made me the woman I am today.
“And I have worked with local artisans, not only giving economic opportunity, but also giving them platform for the younger generations to take pride in their own culture.
“Like how I take pride with my own culture. I am a Balinese and I will continue to say that I am a proud Balinese. I am a proud Indonesian. And I am here to make Indonesia proud today. Thank you.”

Ketut Permata’s campaign focuses on upcycling waste.
During the final round, Ketut Permata said, “Are you guys aware that tons of plastic ends up in our ocean every year? That’s every load of truck of plastic ends up in our ocean in just every minute.
“Allow me to introduce my action plan, my project. It‘s called ‘Crafting a Sustainable Future’ where I will ask local artisans to come to my workshop where we’ll be provided, of course, by the Miss Cosmo organizations because of their consciousness regarding our environment.
“I will teach them how to create traditional crafts using plastic waste, using waste that we threw into our planet every day because we only have one planet and we need to take care of it.
“In each product, you guys will get a QR code where you guys can trace the journey of every plastic you guys upcycled.
“In that way, not only am I reducing plastic, I’m educating all of you regarding how we can manage our waste and how we can help our world in just a few minutes. Thank you.”
Thailand’s Karnruethai raised a point questioning whether selling an upcycled item at a higher price exploits the customer.
In response, Ketut Permata asserted, “Of course not the whole purpose of this action plan is to help our planet. And everything will be transparent because I believe this is beauty with transparency
“This is beauty with purpose beauty with power and beauty with impact. Thank you Thank you.”
