Tran Viet Bao Hoang, the head of the organizing committee, addressed issues with the interpreters’ accuracy in translating responses from the Vietnamese representative Bui Xuan Hanh and Peru’s Romina Lozano.
Speaking to VietNamNet, he mentioned that during the closed-door interviews, contestants performed better due to interpreter assistance. However, the time constraints on the final night resulted in incomplete conveyance of responses, a significant learning experience for future editions.
According to the committee, participation in optional rounds like the Green Summit, which focuses on environmental projects, although not mandatory, offers a comprehensive view of contestants, enhancing the audience’s, media’s, and judges’ evaluations.
The committee emphasized the importance of choosing the right path, reflected in how contestants presented their personal plans.
Ketut Permata Juliastrid, the new Miss Cosmo 2024, distinguished herself through a clear understanding of her goals and the application of innovative environmental protection initiatives. A standout moment in her response was her idea about recycling and using QR codes to track product lifecycles, which greatly impressed the judges.
The organizing committee confirmed its commitment to supporting the queen and her runner-up in implementing their social projects. This was evidenced by the success of Miss Cosmo Vietnam – Bui Xuan Hanh and her ‘Small Share Cake’ project. Their philanthropic spirit and presentation skills are crucial for future success.
After her crowning, Miss Cosmo 2024 expressed excitement and a sense of responsibility to enact her future plans. She assessed her journey as hard-working and filled with sweet memories, now ready to tackle her responsibilities.
Karnruethai Tassabut from Thailand, the runner-up, shared that saying “Good morning” each day energizes her with a positive spirit that she aims to spread to others.
With all 56 participants being intelligent, diligent, and punctual, choosing a winner was challenging, as noted by the Indonesian queen. Personality differences and a bit of luck played roles in their success.
Despite a busy schedule, the top two demonstrated passionate hearts and diligence, earning the committee’s trust to support them throughout their reigning year.
“Ketut and Karnruethai are brimming with energy, broadcasting live daily despite the dense competition schedule, and know how to transfer this energy to the other contestants,” highlighted the committee representative.
Miss Cosmo 2024 will receive $100,000, a management contract, her own accommodation, and a luxury car for her term in Vietnam. She will travel globally, promoting the Miss Cosmo brand.
The committee affirmed that the competition would be held annually. Despite obstacles, the first event in Vietnam was rich with activities across the country, enjoying widespread audience support.
“We are not alone; we always receive support from internal resources and global audiences. We will show the world what Miss Cosmo can contribute to society,” affirmed the committee representative.
