Afflecks Launches Independent Christmas Shopping Experience

There was Miracle on 34th Street and last year Manchester was introduced to Miracle on Cross Street, but this December sees the arrival of a new festive experience in the city, ‘Miracle on Oldham Street’. The halls of Afflecks, located on Oldham Street, have been well and truly decked from head to toe for Christmas with sparkly decorations and baubles galore and the iconic shopping emporium has a sleigh-load of festive offerings.

With a special pop-up yuletide mini-market on the third floor, a bumper crop of new traders joining the family, Christmas decks in full flow, festive food specials, extended opening hours and more, customers are sure to feel like a kid at Christmas. Housing an abundance of independent traders under one roof it’s only right that the Northern Quarter building hosts its very own Indie Pop-Up Festive Village, which will take place on the third floor every weekend in the lead up to Christmas.

Each weekend will see different independent businesses pop up on the third floor to provide an even more eclectic mix of independent gifting options. Think artwork, homewares and jewellery – meaning that Afflecks shoppers can craft a perfectly unique, independent Christmas haul.

Meanwhile, there’s a raft of new traders recently moved into Afflecks just in time for Christmas, creating the most comprehensive and diverse independent shopping experience yet. From sea moss to streetwear and urban gardening to Indonesian teas, Afflecks has even more of absolutely everything you could need for those quirky people in your life:

With all this in mind, Team Afflecks are challenging customers to do ALL their Christmas shopping the independent Manchester way at Afflecks. Shoppers who share their Afflecks Christmas shopping snaps with the hashtag #AfflecksXmasChallenge will be in with a chance of winning Afflecks vouchers.

Whether it’s body and beauty, food and drink, mind and wellness, or homeware and collectables your loved one is after, at Afflecks there’s something to make everyone’s yuletide extra special this year with something unique and thoughtful under the tree. There’s also no need to break the bank this year when buying presents as Afflecks is also a super affordable shopping haven with lots of gifts coming in under £10.

Those wanting to treat themselves this Christmas should keep an eye out on Afflecks’ socials, as every Sunday in December they will be giving their followers the chance to win a host of special prizes, including an indie weekend shopping and lunch package.

Afflecks’ famous third floor cafe has also welcomed a brand new concept, Third Floor Rising, which has opened just in time for the festive period. Third Floor Rising will be serving up a handful of Christmas specials, including festive paninis, cakes, mince pies and pumpkin spiced lattes.

If you’re looking for an independent Christmas not spent trudging around the festive markets – you could say it’s a Christmas miracle… right here on Oldham Street in Manchester.
