Social Bella, the company behind Indonesian beauty and wellness e-commerce platform Sociolla, announced the opening of a physical store at Lippo Mall Puri, West Jakarta, on Tuesday, August 13.
The 425 sqm store included an interactive display that connects customers to the Sociolla and SOCO platforms by the company.
It complemented another store that Social Bella has opened at Kota Kasablanka, South Jakarta, earlier.
In a press statement, Social Bella Co-Founder and CMO Chrisanti Indiana said, “We started out as an e-commerce platform with Sociolla, but we are aware that offline shopping experience is essential in purchasing beauty products. Customers want to be able to touch and try on the products directly.”

The physical store complements the company’s existing business lines: E-commerce (through Sociolla), media (through beauty products review platform SO.CO and Beauty Journal), and brand development (an end-to-end beauty products distribution channels).
In May 2018, the company announced a US$12 million funding round led by venture capital (VC) firm East Ventures’ late-stage new fund EV Growth.
Expanding into O2O sector is a strategy commonly embraced by startups working in the lifestyle sector, particularly fashion and beauty.
