Miss Universe 2022 Visits Bali to Attend Indonesian Beauty Pageant

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel of the United States and delegations arrived in Bali and were scheduled to carry out a number of activities, such as photoshoots at a number of tourist attractions on the Island of the Gods.

“Several locations will be visited, including Ubud, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, and Uluwatu. The activities will be photoshoots and sightseeing,” said Head of the Bali Tourism Agency Tjok Bagus Pemayun, on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

Pemayun said the tourist sites to be visited are popular ones, viz. (namely) Ubud Palace, Dedari Park, Melasti Beach, Jimbaran Beach, and Uluwatu Temple.

Other than the 71st Miss Universe, Runner Up 2 Miss Universe 2022 Adreina Martinez of the Dominican Republic and Top 5 Miss Universe 2022 Gabriella Del Santoz of Curacao joined the trip.

Tourism Promotion

Pemayun said the visit of the Miss Universe to Bali until Thursday, February 23, was a momentum to promote tourism, similar to the G20 event in 2022. “When the economy has not yet recovered 100 percent, it is very difficult for us to directly promote [tourism] abroad, so a momentum like this visit of Miss universe must be used as a promotional means,” he said.

According to him, all the activities of the beauty ambassadors would be known to the world community and would automatically raise the name of Bali.

The Miss Universe 2022 was also scheduled to launch Miss Universe Indonesia on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in Badung Regency, Bali.
