From Pakistan To Canada, 8 Videshi Brides Who Wore Sabyasachi! I POPxo

Sabyasachi is the king of India’s bridal fashion scene. But his influence reaches far and beyond. Every year, brides from all over the world reach out to the designer to fulfil their wedding wear dreams. Well, I just need an excuse to browse through Sabyasachi’s exquisite designs! You know where this is going, right?

I just made a list of eight brides from all over the world who wore the designer. Scroll down:

Pakistani Bride Altish Yousaf!

While there are a lot of Pakistani brides who have worn Sabyasachi, Altish Yousaf remains my favourite. She wore this kaleidoscopic zardozi lehenga from the designer’s heritage collection for her mehendi and broke the internet with her gorgeous pics. In fact, Altish wore a lot of Indian designers including Abhinav Mishra and Tarun Tahiliana!

Norwegian Bride Prableen Kaur

Norweigina bride Prableen Kaur went for one of the understated Sabyasachi designs for her Oslo wedding in 2021. The designer shared pictures of her bridal photoshoot in a forest and her lehenga looks breathtaking! The ensemble featured no heavy, OTT embellishments and looked as easy to carry as a tulle bridal gown!

Indonesian Bride Melissa Ginting Soraya

Indonesian beauty entrepreneur, Melissa Ginting Soraya tied the knot in 2021 and chose a heavily embellished Sabyasachi lehenga for her bridal look. The lehenga featured a mix of heavy jaal work and floral motifs. She even wore kaleeras to match her regal outfit!

American Bride Nicole Frerichs

Nicole Frerichs chose a red lehenga gorgeously embellished with Sabyasachi’s signature marori work. The rich colour shined through the dainty motifs and I love that she added a touch of contrast with her gold-emerald jewellery!

Bangladeshi Bride Nowsheen Nowar Ahmed

Instagram

Nowsheen Nowar Ahmed exuded old-world charm in a Sabyasachi saree for her Dhaka wedding. The embellished border and the jaal work on the georgette saree have my heart. Nowsheen styled it with a tissue dupatta which is sure to remind you of Deepika Padukone’s bridal look!

English Bride Devina Majumder

Devina Majumder chose the most unique Sabyasachi for her Berkshire wedding. Featuring a yummy mix of red and marsala, the lehenga was lightly embellished with sequins. A woven Banarasi border matched the maroon blouse and tied the look together!

Nepali Bride Yeshu Shrestha

Instagram

Yeshu Shrestha chose a striking albeit simple Sabyasachi saree for her Kathmandu sangeet. The ivory drape featured a subtle floral print and the bride styled it with emeralds and pearls. How classy!

Canadian Bride Rupy Johal

Instagram

Rupy Johal wore a raw silk zardosi lehenga with an organza dupatta from the Sabyasachi Heritage collection for her Vancouver Anand Karaj. The offbeat henna green and muted grey combination is breathtaking. Few brides can dare to take this risk for their D-day and that’s where Rupy won!

Don’t all of them absolutely gorgeous? Well, that’s how Sabyasachi works his magic!
