Beauty company Coty names new SEA managing

Global beauty company, Coty, has appointed Kristina Strunz (pictured) as managing director, Southeast Asia and distributor markets after a period of significant business and organisational transformation for the beauty giant.

Strunz, who joined the company in 2021 as vice president of Southeast Asia and distributor markets Asia, will continue to oversee the implementation and roll out of the beauty powerhouse’s new corporate purpose ‘Together, we unleash every vision of beauty’ in Southeast Asia.

Bringing more than 15 years of international beauty experience to the role, Strunz is responsible for developing and executing Coty’s business strategy in the region, with oversight of business development, marketing and eCommerce. At the start of 2023, Strunz drove the growth of Coty’s luxury brands across the region by promoting Estella Lau’s role to country manager, Singapore and prestige distributor markets (including Indonesia, India and Vietnam).

The company has also unveiled a dynamic new leadership team covering affiliate markets, distributor markets and key business functions, to drive Coty towards becoming a champion of omni-channel retail in the region. Comprising a dynamic line-up of commercial, digital and marketing talents, the Coty Southeast Asia leadership team is united in working towards elevating Coty to be a beauty leader in the region.

In pursuit of Coty’s new purpose, the company is on a mission to create forward-thinking beauty – products that provide new, innovative and better science-based solutions.

Following a business-wide review, including employee feedback, Coty codified its corporate values under the framework of ‘Fearless Kindness’. Across its businesses, processes and people, the new values represent the next phase in Coty’s growth.

Strunz said, “As this exciting new chapter begins at Coty, I am delighted to lead the team in Southeast Asia in line with the group’s renewed focus. Rather than words on a page, our new purpose, vision and values serve as a constant source of inspiration for the leadership team in Southeast Asia as we transform Coty into the beauty powerhouse of tomorrow.”

Prior to joining Coty, Au worked at L’Oréal for over close to 10 years, last helming the role of regional merchandising and retail solution director.
